The professional vocal early music ensemble APERI ANIMAM , jubilant its 5th anniversary in 2022, has quickly drawn the attention of early on music enthusiasts and organizations across the United States. APERI ANIMAM has opened for the world-renowned Flemish region Recorder Quartet and worked in a masterclass setting with The Queen'due south Half dozen (London), Calmus Ensemble (Leipzig), Dana Marsh (Washington Bach Espoused, Historical Performance Institute at Indiana University – Bloomington), and Grant Herreid (Piffaro, Yale University).

Daniel Koplitz (they/them), founding executive creative director emeritus & baritone
—is a vocaliser and conductor currently based in northern California. They hold a BA in vocal operation from UW-Milwaukee, with boosted emphases in linguistics, choral conducting, and music history. They accept participated in the Madison Early Music Festival, the Boston Early Music University, and the Amherst Early Music Festival, and their solo credits include Autumn in Purcell's The Fairy Queen, the cantor in Johann Michael Haydn's St. Leopold Mass, and the tenor soloist in Vivaldi's Magnificat. Until 2021, Daniel was the Manager of Music and Cantor at All Saints' Cathedral in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Currently, they are pursuing a doctorate in historical musicology at Stanford University

Deme Hellwig, soprano
—is a graduate of Lawrence University with a BM in song performance. She has performed the roles of First Maid (Street Scene), Mrs. Splinters (The Tender Land), and Jenny Diver (The Ragamuffin'due south Opera), as well every bit many roles in opera scene performances while studying at Lawrence University. Since moving back to Milwaukee in June 2018, she joined the All Saints' Cathedral Choir and APERI ANIMAM. It's her promise to continue professionally in her passion for early music operation.

Jackie Willis, artistic director & mezzo-soprano
—is a graduate of the UW-Milwaukee, where she received a BFA in vocal performance. Jackie was appointed to succeed Daniel Koplitz as artistic manager in 2021. She has performed in numerous roles effectually the Midwest, including Hecuba (La Didone) with the Haymarket Opera Summer Course, Tertiary Lady (Zie Magic Flute) with Milwaukee Opera Theatre, First Witch/Enchantress (Dido & Æneas) with UWM Opera Theatre, and Chorus (Tales of Hoffman) in a collaboration with Milwaukee Opera Theatre and Skylight Music Theatre. She also enjoyed participating in the Madison Early Music Festival prior to the coronavirus pandemic.

Molly Pagryzinski, & lath treasurer & mezzo-soprano
—attended Butler University, where she earned degrees in vocal music, mathematics, and instruction. While at Butler, she studied choral music nether professors Henry Leck, Erik Stark, and Daniel Blosser, and it was there that she realized her passion for early music. Molly moved to Milwaukee in 2018 and currently works as a loftier school math teacher. She began singing with the Milwaukee Symphony Chorus in the jump of 2019 and both performs with APERI ANIMAM and currently serves as treasurer on the Board of Directors.

Jennifer Jakubowski, mezzo-soprano
—holds a degree in exercise science from Carroll Academy and is a licensed massage therapist and therapeutic bodyworker. Jennifer'southward love for early music has led her to perform with numerous groups in the Milwaukee area including the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Chorus, The Chief Singers, Music by the Lake Singers, the Collegium Ladyes, and most recently, St. John'southward Cathedral Choir.

Austin Bare, board fellow member & tenor
—graduated with a BA in song functioning at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee this by December. He has performed every bit The Sailor (Dido & Aeneas), Don Gomez (La Périchole), and in numerous opera scenes performances with UWM opera theatre. Outside of UW–Milwaukee, he has appeared in roles such as the Lamplighter (The Footling Prince) and Mitch Mahone (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee). In 2016, Austin participated in the Wisconsin NATS Regional Auditions, placing second in the junior men's division. Currently, he is the tenor section leader at St. Mark'southward Episcopal Church and sings with the Belle Ensemble of Racine.

Joseph Krohlow, founding historical linguist & bass
—studied vocal performance and linguistics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, with the intention of pursuing an operatic performing career. He has performed equally Pédro (La Périchole) and Spirit (Dido & Æneas) at UWM, and the understudy for Christopher Melody in Sam Mullooly'due south opera American Spring. Joseph served as the historical linguist for APERI ANIMAM, and was a member of the ensemble from 2017 - 2021.

Sam Mullooly, former board vice president & bass–baritone
—graduated summa cum laude from Illinois Wesleyan University in May 2016 with a BM in music limerick. As a composer, Sam has written a multitude of operatic, choral, bedroom, symphonic, and vocalizer-songwriter works. His first full-length opera American Spring premiered in Milwaukee in August 2017. He also has worked every bit an arranger, editor, engraver, transcriber, vocaliser, and music announcer. Previously an editor of choral music at Hal Leonard, Sam is currently pursuing a Ph.D in musicology.
